#Igot5onit99 | Day.60

So, it just dawned on me that apparently, I am not able to complete kindergarten mathematical equations.  Yesterday, I thought I only had 30 days left, when in reality, it was really 40 *sigh*  I am blaming that on the time change!

In other news, got my workout in fairly early again and I am excited to have my nights free of the, “Awww man, I still have to do my workout and knock out this blog & I am tired,” situations that I continue to put myself in.

Monthly Book Challenge:

So, the Black Jacobins is a VERY HEAVY read.  The first 20 pages are a beast and honestly, a lot to swallow.  I got the opportunity to get some reading in at work during our down time and the imagery provoked by the words about the conditions & ideologies surrounding slavery is mind boggling.  It just reiterates to me why I feel NO shame when all I can do is roll my eyes when people tell me/us to forget about slavery it was so long ago… No, not it was not & the everlasting effects are still here to this present day.  If we can see the financial effects of the generational wealth build upon slavery, why is it so hard to understand the multitude of other effects pervasively interwoven into our fabric of society.  If there is a true ignorance / nativity there, please read this book & get a better idea of the other side of the coin.

Time to wake up little girl and get some food cooking!
