Today was pretty busy after waking up super late, but I was able to get my workout in while doing my classwork (win-win as the workout served as my mini-breaks for each exercise). Feels good to have gotten my reading, note taking, & quiz completed, especially when I did not think I was going to get ANYTHING done with as active as baby girl was all day!
As I continue to move forward with all my goals (business, reading a book a month, this 99-day challenge, evolving to the best mother I can be, strengthening the relationships to family, healthy hair journey), it is incredibly difficult to maintain balance from the point of view I have developed. I find myself looking at each day and judging how successful (or not..) I am as I close my eyes – almost like mental checklist. The reality of wearing so many hats & working on all aspects of your life, is that it is not really logical or healthy to keep doing this.
Rather, as I move forward, I am leaning more towards learning how to look at the bigger picture of continued progression on a larger scale. For example, instead of what did I get done yesterday in A), B), C), etc… think in terms of last week, or last month I was (or was not!), doing this.. and now this week or this month, I have done or am doing this…
I think this way will take unnecessary pressure and stress off of myself and allow room for life to happen (such as ailments, emergencies, rain (lol), oversleeping, and being present for family. We will see how this new frame of mind goes next month 🙂
