Almost did not do it – but I got the workout in… It was one of those days that I also JUST got my first shower for the day in after 9pm, smh. They never said that motherhood would be glamorous.
Now, I am sitting here considering if I should call it a night, watch a movie, get some classwork done, read, scroll mindlessly through social media, do my hair, or have a conversation with mahal ko (my love). *sigh* Adulting is definitely not what I thought it would be 20 years ago when I was still eager to finally be a “grown” teen in a couple more years.
What I can say is, I have had some hiccups with this challenge, but if I have learned anything as an adult, it is that things are rarely going to go the way you want. They will rarely go the way you plan, especially when you do everything you were supposed to. But, there is always the opportunity to continue trying, do more / better, and re-engage yourself. That is definitely how I am feeling with this challenge. I had been doing amazing, and within the last few weeks, have missed 2 days due to being nauseous, fatigue, with headache, & weak for the majority of the day. But, the next days I have gotten back up, been present in the challenge, with & for my family, and back on track.
I am going to the gym tomorrow with my mother and looking forward to getting my challenge completed there & earlier in the day. Until then…
