#Igot5onit99 | Day#38 |Long days…

Today was a STRUGGLE – but got my workout in!  Snoozed past safe snoozing zone, rushed to get my twist-out complete, barely grabbed enough food for breakfast & lunch.  But, all in all – the good outweighed the bad.  Was able to get some great food for the family for the week, cook for baby girl’s meals, and the hubbs got me Pho!  I have just been SO DAMN TIRED, I cannot figure out what is going on.  I am still struggling with the workouts & have not been keeping up with my cousin or sister in law 🙁

But, I set a date with my mother to hit the gym this weekend, so I should be pushing forward and making some progress.  Hopefully, I am able to pull myself out of the bed for that one, lol!

Today…

Today at work, I felt some kind of way for a few moments.  I work at a law firm and unless we have a Deposition in the office, the dress is business casual.  Well, this week, the CEO partners were going to be in town for a conference with one of our bigger clients.  With that, we had to dress a little more business and a little less casual.  So, today I wore pants, heels, and this striped shirt (pictured below).  Of course, it was adorned with my Meritah (African) purchased necklace & earrings as well as a headband with traditional print.  Well, my supervisor emailed me that my shirt was not appropriate for today because it is sleeveless & that is why it did not meet dress code.  Now, take a look at the picture and weigh in, would you consider this a sleeveless shirt?

Now, if she would have said (and it was supported by the handbook’s dress code), no shoulders showing, no short sleeve, well – I get that & would understand, but I also would not have worn it to the office.  But, she said it was sleeveless and therefore did not meet the dress code so I had to wear a sweater all day – or go home and change.  Well, they keep it super chilly in the office anyway, so I threw that sweater on & kept it pushing.  I think it was too much Meritah / African pride going on, lol.  #WakandaForever!
