Man, has this week already been a challenge or what? Yesterday was the first day I did not do more than one exercise. I mean deep breathing is better than nothing, but I honestly cannot say at this point in the challenge that I am o.k. with just that, so I am going to take yesterday as a day where I did not do my challenge.
On to today, challenge was completed & for the 4th level-up challenge, I am adding 5 minutes of daily stretching to my regimen. The goal is to stretch first thing when I wake up to invigorate & engage my body and breathing & to do so with the window open (yes, even in the cold). In traditional cultures, no matter the weather, windows should always be open daily to allow fresh air to circulate and break up the stale and recycled air. A good friend reminded me of this the “why” behind why we do what we do (shout out to hatenee Sepkinitah!).
Maybe the mix of the weather and old injuries (2 prior car accidents) has my body wanting to be at rest & struggling through this simple workout. I will monitor my body these next 9 days and if need be, maintain what I am doing rather than increasing for the next 9. Well, sleep is calling & I have already had her on hold…

- 335+ seconds holding yoga pose (Tittibhasana)
- 120 calf raises
- 170 minutes of deep breathing (+20 for the “Level Up #3)
- 5 minutes of stretching (NEW!)
