So, today was a day… Fatigue took some steroids last night and came at me HEAVY today. I won’t even tell you what time I woke up, honestly it is a luxury that I did not think possible after having children.
So, after waking up really late – I had only a few hours before we were set to get ready for game night. Late last year shortly after my cousin (a.k.a. little sis) had her baby, we all talked and decided that we should get together at least once a month and do SOMETHING, even if just to have dinner. We decided that we would do monthly sushi outings. The first two months we did sushi, but this month decided to do game night.
We played a couple new games that I had never played & for the final game – I came home with the money pot! It is a game called, “Left, Center, Right.” Each person’s buy in was $5.00 worth of quarters, there are three dice, and each dice has several options that you follow with each die representing a quarter:
- a dot means you keep that quarter
- a star means you put a quarter in the center “take home” bucket
- left & right means you pass a quarter to the left or the right
You can potentially keep three quarters, or give three away every turn.
Well, I was the first to lose all of my quarters… So the comeback was extra glorious as you can still get back in if the person to the left or your right gives you monies. The person left with any quarters wins. It was down to just three singular quarters at the end, then down to just two. Needless to say, we were all on our feet on the final rolls.
I actually forgot my quarters at home, trying to sneak out w/o my daughter seeing me. My cousin loaned me the $5.00 to get in & I was able to immediately pay him back with interest (which he gave right back to me, fam love).
So we got back around 0:00 a.m. and I just finished my workout before typing this. I have a feeling that I am going to be up for a little while, but another successful challenge day!
