Today was a good day! I mean, its Fri-yay and the beginning of my three-day weekends moving forward. I made the decision to stop working on Mondays to get some more good time during the week with family during a time where businesses are open, but also slower because most people are at work. I also checked the holiday calendar and the majority of the holidays fall on Monday, so as a part-time worker, I can maximize on the hours I get w/o forced time w/o pay. I can spend time at museums, parks, quieter days at the beach, less traffic on the road, and smaller crowds at grocery stores. Plus, its about time to begin more serious potty training and start with a bit more structure to my sessions with this toddler of mine.
Level Up #2
Every 9th day marks a new cycle for me & that next day – I will do a “Level-Up” challenge, where I ask on social media what exercise they thin I should do and attribute a value either to every like, comment, and visit to my site (from FB). Due to me focusing on my sister, I was unable to post the question until today, so tomorrow a.m. I have to add 20 plank rotations onto my already increased work out.
This is what I am currently doing:
- 15 push-ups
- 15 squats
- 10 plank rotations
- 10 seconds holding yoga pose (Tittibhasana)
- 5 minutes of deep breathing
Starting tomorrow & for the next 9 days, I will be doing:
- 15 push-ups (change from 15 modified / knee; to 5 regular & 10 modified knee)
- 15 squats
- + 5 seconds holding squat pose
- 10 plank rotations
- (+20 for the “Level Up #2)
- + 5 seconds holding plank position on forearms
- 15 seconds holding yoga pose (Tittibhasana)
- 5 minutes of deep breathing
- 5 minutes stretching before bed
I will record the “Level Up” challenge to show that is has been completed, but I am feeling good about stepping into this next phase of the #Igot5onit99.
After seeing my progression from Day 1 – through my second “Level Up” challenge, do you all have any suggestions as to what could be a fun or more engaging challenge and / or incremental increase for my 3rd 9 day rotation?
Day#19 was a success! 2.2.18 = Complete
- Most Difficult: Today I found the planks to have given me a run for my money. Which is interesting that extra plan rotations were chosen for me to complete :/
- Currently Feeling: Tired!
Totals for day 19/99:
- 240 push-ups (+2 for the “Level up” #1)
- 240 squats
- 145 plank rotations (+6 for the “Level Up #2)
- 145 seconds holding yoga pose (Tittibhasana)
- 95 minutes of deep breathing
